The other day I was looking at various pictures and videos i’d taken over the weekend. One was of James and Mark doing some song on Singstar, when WHATTHEFUCKISTHAT.

I don’t believe in ghosts or the paranormal, i’m a total skeptic, but seriously, what. the. fuck. was. that.

I saw a face. I’m sure I saw a face.

I put it on YouTube to see if anyone could give me logical, rational explanation for this scary.

The best comment left on Facebook was: “Someone is smoking near the camera”. Then I remembered, I was totally having a fag at the time.

Post Postcrossing

It’s always a strange thing when you stumble across a website, by chance, and wonder why the hell you’ve never seen it before.

A few weeks ago a friend on Twitter mentioned if anyone took part in Postcrossing. Thinking it must be some kind of infamous sexual act, I didn’t reply but instead searched Google for some blackmail-rich information.

That was when I found and wondered why i’d never seen or heard of it before, despite it being online for at least 5 years.

The aim of this website is “to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free.” Basically, you ask to “send a postcard” and Postcrosser provides you a random name and address of one of their 116,769 members. You then write your postcard, send it off, and wait for another randomly picked participant to send one to you. Brilliant.

The best part of the website in my opinion however, is the fact that when you are given a random address to send to, a small image of Google maps appears, showing how far your postcard is going to travel. Wether it’s going to Finland or America, it’s still great knowing that this small picture of your hometown that you’ve scrawled on the back of is going to be on another part of the world in a few days time.

Try it. Yes, you will tens of postcard littering your desk from then on, but if you’re lucky enough to receive one from me, it’ll have Hello Kitty shiny stickers on it and everything.

I’m Auntie Lucy

I’m back

It has been a very busy few days. On Thursday I went up to visit James and we spent a lovely few days in the Lake District and I had so much fun. Pics can be found on this site, his Flickr or my Facebook.

Also, while I was there my Sister-in-Law gave birth to my new Nephew, Ryan, who looks absolutly gorgeous, though I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him yet. Tomorrow will be the day!

Tempera-mental internet

On Saturday I visited one of my favourite websites b3ta to find that it had been taken offline. This has never happened in the whole year i’ve been visiting it, so I was a little suprised. I later found that it was because a fire had broken out in the Datacenter causing an assplosion and everything. For those of you who (like me) don’t know what a Datacenter is, it’s basically just where the internet lives in real life.

Luckily, for the more hardcore b3tards amongst us, there was c4mbodia. This is just a basic site that lets you register a username and post messages on a board, it’s a simpler version of /talk.
But eventually they got sick of us “raping their server” and temporarily closed down too. All we wanted was a bit of warmth and shelter. Nevermind, it was rubbish anyway.

So with all this internet borkyness all I wanted was somewhere to give all my attention to for a while. Digg is always good for that. I was browsing through the most popular posts, but when I got to page 6, I got the message: “Digg will be down for a brief period, while we make some changes.”

I am NOT impressed. This means I am going to leave the house for a while. Fucking hell.

A small update

I’ve been working on a few blog entries, but got fed up with them half way through and have saved them to work on later. It’s unknown whether i’ll bother to actually post them or not.

It’s been really sunny here lately, so i’ve been lying outside on the grass a lot. I’ve sadly gotten aquired some red and itchy sunburn which isn’t very nice, but it’s a small price to pay for the lovely weather.

I’ve just finished booking tickets for Thursday, when i’m going up to see James again. We’re going to do CAMPING in a TENT and I can’t wait. I’m really excited.

And now I have to leave due to College commitments.

Big blog entries coming soon. Maybe.

A few months ago I was green with envy when a friend told me he was going to see Pendulum live.

Now, i’m not really into Drum ‘n’ Bass. In fact I hate most of it. My brother likes to play it loud and I feel like i’m having my head kicked in.
But Pendulum are like the Prodigy. You don’t have to be into that kind of music to like them. The music just makes you happy, whatever your tastes.

In the past few weeks i’d been hearing loads of people talking about the new album they’ve just released. I wasn’t really bothered about hearing it so I didn’t download it or buy it.

But today my brother told me some amazing news. Pendulum are going to be playing in the pub just down the road from me. Yes, that’s right. Pendulum are coming to sleepy North Wales. £5,000 is being paid to have them here. And my brother is the one designing the fliers.

To celebrate he burnt me a copy of their new album “In Silico” and it is BRILLIANT.

From the very first song you just know it’s going to be good.
